Those are real teachers, but a list of names is not an answer to your actual question, which is whether a particular teacher will move your grade in the months you have left. Most Egyptian IGCSE students are not doing this for a British university. They are doing it for an Egyptian one, which means the grade has to clear a specific threshold for a specific faculty, over a specific number of subjects. A B that would be perfectly good elsewhere can close a faculty here. That changes how the year should be planned: you are not aiming for a good grade, you are aiming for a particular one, and you should know which before October rather than in April.
The second difference is language. A large number of students in Egypt are taught physics in Arabic, or in a mixture of Arabic and English, and then have to write the exam in English. The physics is understood and the marks are still lost, because the mark scheme rewards specific English wording and nothing else. It is a fixable problem, but only if the teacher treats it as the problem rather than assuming the student did not understand the topic.
Six things to check before you choose
If you revise in Arabic and answer in English, your marks go on the sentence, not on the idea. Most teachers in Egypt never address this directly. Ask what they do about it, and ask to see a student answer that was rewritten to pick up the marks it was missing.
Egyptian schools use both Cambridge IGCSE Physics 0625 and Pearson Edexcel International GCSE Physics 4PH1, and some sit Combined Science 0653. They are different exams. Confirm your entry code with your school before you choose a teacher, not after.
The number that matters is the one your faculty asks for. A teacher who does not ask which university you are aiming at is planning your year without the one fact that determines it.
Several of the names that come up in searches are teams operating under one teacher's name. That can be fine, but you should know who will actually be in front of you before you pay, not on the first night.
The alternative to practical is a written paper about experiments, and it is the paper Egyptian students most often leave until last. It is also the easiest one to gain marks on quickly, which is why leaving it is expensive.

Where Egyptian students lose the most marks
These are the places marks go missing most often, taken from marking student scripts rather than from a textbook contents page. Each one is a specific habit, not a topic to revise again.
The idea is right and the mark is still lost, because the mark scheme pays for specific words. Learn the exam sentence for each explanation the way you would learn a formula: the current increases, the resistance decreases, energy is transferred to the surroundings.
The pair acts on two different objects, never on the same one. Weight and normal contact force on a book are not a third law pair, and saying they are is one of the most common lost marks in the whole paper.
The ratio of voltages equals the ratio of turns. Students invert it under pressure. Write which coil is the primary on the diagram before you write the equation, every time.
A volume in cubic centimetres divided by a mass in kilograms gives a number that is wrong by a factor of a million. Convert to metres, kilograms and seconds before the first calculation, not after the answer looks strange.
The right hand grip rule is for the field around a wire and the left hand rule is for the force on a current in a field. Students learn one and use it for both. Write which hand you are using next to the diagram.
Which exam you are actually sitting
This is the question most students in Egypt get wrong, and it is worth settling in five minutes. British curriculum schools across the Gulf enter students for one of two different physics exams, and many schools do not publish which one on their website. Check your entry code with your school office.
- Cambridge IGCSE Physics 0625. Core students sit Paper 1, Paper 3 and a practical paper; Extended students sit Paper 2, Paper 4 and a practical paper. The practical is either Paper 5, a real lab exam, or Paper 6, the written alternative to practical.
- Pearson Edexcel International GCSE Physics 4PH1. Two written papers, Paper 1P and Paper 2P. The modular route uses 4WPH1 and 4WPH2.
- Cambridge IGCSE Combined Science 0653, where physics is one third of a single award.
- Cambridge International AS and A Level Physics 9702, for students carrying on after IGCSE.
- Cambridge IGCSE 9-1 Physics 0972 is the same syllabus as 0625 with a 9 to 1 grade scale, and is offered in the UK administrative zone rather than the Gulf. If your school enters you for it, the 0625 past papers are the right practice papers.
Dates that matter for Egypt students
- Cambridge June 2026 IGCSE and O Level results were released at 05:00 UTC on 18 August 2026, which is 8am in Cairo.
- Pearson Edexcel International GCSE summer 2026 results went to candidates on 20 August 2026.
- The Cambridge November 2026 exams run from late September to mid November, with IGCSE and O Level results on 14 January 2027.
- There is no January International GCSE series. Pearson ended it after January 2023, so the series are now summer and November only.
