What Paper 3 is testing

• Advanced Practical Skills. Marks come from how you set up, measure and record, not from getting the textbook value.
• Record every reading to the precision of the instrument, including trailing zeros, and keep the same number of decimal places down the whole column.
• The gradient and intercept are almost always the point of the graph. Draw the line of best fit through the spread, not through the first and last points.
• Uncertainty questions are predictable marks. Learn the absolute and percentage uncertainty rules and you bank them every session.
