This is the Cambridge IGCSE / O Level Physics 0625 (Core) Paper 3, variant 1, sat in October/November 2019. Do the paper under exam timing first, then mark it yourself with the mark scheme. That second step is where the grade actually moves.
What Paper 3 is testing
- Theory paper, eighty marks in an hour and fifteen minutes, Core tier.
- One mark is one scoring point. Count the marks and give that many separate points.
- Write "transferred to the surroundings as thermal energy", never "lost". The mark scheme uses the first wording.
- Show your substitution. If the arithmetic goes wrong you still keep the method mark.
